Interested students who are currently in 8th, 9th, or 10th grade and reside in the Greater Peoria area may apply for entry into the IB Diploma Program at Richwoods High School. Those who reside outside of the Peoria Public Schools attendance boundaries must pay a tuition fee. While most students begin the pre-IB track as freshmen, they can also join before their sophomore or even junior year. Acceptance into the program is based on standardized test scores, grades, teacher recommendations and interviews.
The deadline to apply for the 2025-26 school year is Friday, November 1, 2024. An informational meeting for parents will be held Wednesday, October 3, in the RHS Auditorium.
IB APPLICATION PROCESS TIMELINE
  • October 3, 2024: Parent informational meeting, 6pm, RHS Auditorium
  • November 1, 2024: Deadline for completed applications, 4pm
  • November 19 & 20, 2024: IB interviews, 4-8pm, RHS Library
  • December 6, 2024: Acceptance letters sent to parents​
